07-08-2019, 12:00 - 07-08-2019, 14:00 | matt

Lancashire is a thriving hub of activity in the North West.  Unfortunately, there is a massive shortage of foster carers in Lancashire.
Find out more about becoming a Foster Carer at this event.

How long does it take to become a foster carer?

"If you have a spare bedroom and the time to give care to a child, you could become a foster carer."

Right now there is an estimated shortage of 1,190 Foster Carers in the North West.  There is  a need for more  foster families able to support teenagers and sibling groups, although we are looking for carers able to support children of all ages.

If you want to make a difference to children's lives, this event is for you.  At this information session we will talk about the process of becoming a Foster Carer, what you should expect from Fostering and the support Family Care offer.  No need to book in advance, simply knock on and come in for a brew and a friendly chat.

On average, 90 children come into care every day.  Could you open your home to a child in need?
