To provide foster homes in which children heal from trauma requires more than ‘good enough' parenting. This is why we have in-house services working with children and foster carers directly, and ensures our foster families are equipped to provide tailored therapeutic care to children and young people.
At Family Care, we do everything we can to ensure the children we look after are afforded the highest quality care.
Here are a few of the ways we do this;
Foster carers receive high quality training and access to level 3 diploma
in-house therapy teams supporting foster carers directly
15 Children's activities a year led by our in-house children's support team
Action Adventure weekend for children aged 11-17
Monthly local support groups for Foster Carers
24/7 support from a qualified social worker
In addition to the above, we provide mileage support for carers to attend training, 2-weeks annual leave payment every year and Foster Talk membership for all of our fostering families.
We are active members of the British Association of Adoption and Fostering (BAAF), the Fostering Network and the Nationwide Association of Fostering Providers (NAFP) to ensure our carers and children's voices get heard.
Join Family Care to team up with an agency that truly puts children at the heart of everything we do.
