The Barnardo’s appeal is well timed. Reports from the Fostering Network show that there is a shortage of 1200 foster families in the Midlands, in particular the West Midlands in areas such as Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Solihull, West Bromwich, Cannock, Walsall and Dudley.
Here at Family Care we echo the call from Barnardo’s for more people to consider fostering. We launched our 2018 recruitment campaign in late November and we are now actively recruiting in the above areas, particularly the West Midlands where demand for foster placements is so high.
If you have a spare bedroom and want to make a difference, why not give us a call for an informal chat to discuss fostering? We can answer any initial questions you may have and then we will arrange to come out to see you to discuss in more depth.
Bear in mind that Family Care will fund all your training and we’re with you through the process every step of the way. Fostering is a rewarding career and your earnings will reflect this – you will earn enough to make fostering what you do without having to worry about a second income. What’s most important is that you can offer a stable, loving home to children who need it most in the UK.
